I love when art history meets fashion. Check out this sweatshirt featuring “The Colossal Octopus,” better known to you and me as the Kraken. This drawing, by malacologist Pierre Dénys de Montfort in 1801, is believed to be the most realistic depiction of the monster based on French sailors’ accounts after their Nordic and Icelandic coastal travels.
